Crossway Academy Academic Camp 2025
Our Crossway Team Coordinator, Cierra Clinton, and staff will facilitate this program — along with the Head of School at Crossway Academy — that is designed to strengthen academics, communication and social skills through camp activities during the summer. Curriculum will be thematic units depending on the week with activities that include reading, math, communication skills, social skills, music, art, gym time, snacks and lunch. All content areas are North Carolina common core aligned.
We are currently accepting kids who are either currently Crossway students or up-in-coming Crossway students as young as 4 to help get prepared for Kindergarten! Academic camp runs Mondays through Thursdays, 9:00 to 2:00 during the weeks above. We will be accepting no more than 20 campers per week. The ratio will be 1 to 5.
Application Submission Deadline: May 15, 2025

Financial Support/ Scholarships
On a first come, first serve basis, First In Families will accept applications for summer camp funding from individuals with an intellectual/developmental disability (i.e., Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury or other challenges) that has proof of summer camp registration.

Week 1: Dino Days (June 23-26)Roar into adventure with Crossway Academy's Week One of Summer Camp, taking place from June 23-26! This week's theme is Dino Days, where young explorers will journey back to the age of dinosaurs through an exciting and dynamic curriculum. Each day promises a prehistoric adventure, with thematic units integrating reading, math, communication skills, social skills, music, art, and physical activities. From digging up fossils to creating dino-inspired art, the engaging activities will spark curiosity, encourage teamwork, and promote learning in a fun and interactive environment. The week will be packed with excitement, discovery, and, of course, plenty of roars! Join us for a dino-mite experience of learning, laughter, and Jurassic-sized fun!

Week 2: Medieval Moments (June30- July3)Prepare to step back in time as Crossway Academy's Week Two of Summer Camp unfolds from June 30- July 3 with the enchanting theme, "Medieval Moments"! Young adventurers will journey into the age of knights, castles, and dragons, exploring the rich history and legends of the medieval era.
From designing their own coat of arms to constructing castles and learning about medieval customs, campers will dive into activities that ignite their imagination and creativity. Whether they're solving knightly riddles, engaging in royal games, or crafting medieval-inspired art, each day will bring new quests and challenges. This week will not only inspire a love of history but also encourage collaboration and camaraderie among campers. |

Week 3: Wild West Week (July 21-24)Saddle up for adventure during Week Three of Crossway Academy's Summer Camp, running from July 21-24! This week’s theme is "Wild West Week," where young cowpokes will journey into the exciting world of the American frontier.
Campers will explore life on the range, uncovering the tales of cowboys, outlaws, and pioneers through fun and engaging activities. From designing their own sheriff badges to creating western-inspired crafts and learning line dances, each day promises a rootin’ tootin’ good time. Week 4: Decade Dancing Days(July 28-31)Get ready to groove through time during Week Four of Crossway Academy's Summer Camp, happening from July 28-31, with the theme "Decade Dancing Days"! From tie-dye creations and disco dance-offs to neon crafts and 90s throwback games, each day promises a new blast from the past.
