2E and Gifted ClassCrossway Academy is driven by its mission: to create a nurturing and inclusive therapeutic-driven educational environment explicitly tailored to the unique needs of children who learn differently.
As we expand our services, we emphasize the importance of nurturing the WHOLE child. Our team of occupational, physical, and speech therapists plays a crucial role in facilitating student development across various domains, including handwriting, social-emotional regulation, fine motor skills, motor planning, and self-care. At Crossway, we foster an integrated approach where therapy and education harmoniously blend. Our occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists work hand in hand with teachers to ensure the all-round development of every child. Recognizing a gap in the educational landscape in Charlotte, we are stepping up to address the needs of twice-exceptional learners. These are students who often excel in one or more academic areas while requiring additional support for social and emotional learning, behavioral needs, self-regulation, and motor skills. In response, Crossway Academy is launching an elementary class tailored specifically for 2E students within a small therapeutic setting. Led by a dedicated team of therapists and teachers, this initiative aims to provide a nurturing yet rigorous private school experience where learning is personalized to meet the unique needs of each student. |
