Enrollment Process and Application
Step 1:
If you have read The Crossway Student and feel we may be a good fit for your child, please fill out our Academy Interest Form and our Head of School will be in contact with you soon!
Step 2:
After the completion of the interest form, someone from our admissions team will call you to invite to our Open House Event and learn more about your child.
Step 3:
During the Open House, parents are invited to tour the school and meet with our Head of School, Cecilia Armour, in person to learn more about what makes Crossway so special! At this meeting, the admission process will be thoroughly explained. Parent's are encouraged to ask questions regarding the school or the admission process.
Step 4:
After the open house, we will schedule a day for your child to spend some time with us here at Crossway. By observing your child among his or her peers, we can get a better understanding of their academic and social needs. We will also conduct some informal assessments during the student visit.
Prior to the student visit we will need the following items:
1. Completed application (Application below) (If you are interested in receiving pull out (individual) therapies for your child, please indicate so on your registration application.)
2. Most recent student report cards
3. Immunization records
4. Copies of all IEP and 504 plans
5. All medical, therapeutic, and counseling evaluations and reports
6. Teacher/therapist recommendation form
Step 5:
The admissions team will meet after the student visit to determine whether Crossway is the best fit for your child. We will then send you an email to let you know our decision. Please remember, we want the best educational setting for all students at Crossway. Services available and teacher-student ratio affect our decision. If the school spots are filled, we will add the child to a waitlist.
Step 6:
Upon acceptance, we require that new students attend at least one week of summer camp to help with the orientation process. The number of weeks available will depend on the availability at the time of enrollment. We will be in touch regarding which week or weeks are available to your child.
Step 7:
If you have indicated that you are interested in receiving individual (pull-out) therapy for your child, a therapist will be in contact with you regarding the evaluation process. The evaluation should be completed before the start of school.
We would love the opportunity to get to know you and your child, so give us a call today!
