Mackenzie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. During her senior year, she discovered a passion for occupational therapy, which led her to enroll in the inaugural Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program at Central Piedmont Community College, where she graduated in 2014.Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Chris, their daughter, Beckett Emery, and their two dogs, Charlie (Goose) and Maverick. She has a love for the outdoors and enjoys playing sports, hiking, and visiting the beach.
