My name is Daniel Korn. I am a licensed teacher in both NC and SC. AP certified teacher and certified AP test grader. I serve on the board of directors for Union Preparatory Academy, and am a past Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Professional Educators of North Carolina, as well as a district representative. I have received recognition for excellence in teaching on the national, state, and local levels and I am a former Teacher of the Year in the Union County Public School system.
Married to my lovely bride Cheryl for thirty eight years. Two children Gena Marie and Michael. Three grands Aiden, Carter, and Macie Mae! I hold both a bachelor's and master's degrees in education from SUNY-Brockport and have taught for almost three decades from the lower middle school level through the university level (Wingate University).Previous experience as a department chair for both UCPS-Porter Ridge HS and Union Preparatory Academy. Author and historian who has participated in a number of movies and television programs, (historical reenactors/extras). I have presented on various historical subjects at various national/state/local workshops and conferences including American Battlefields Trust, NCCSS, and the Bill of Rights Institute.
